Mission & Main Objectives:
- An opportunity to work at the heart of Product Strategy team in Nissan’s Advance Product Planning team.
- Help to bring Nissan’s cars of the future and create competitive and innovative vehicle concepts.
- Understand customers and the emerging trends to satisfy their current and future unmet needs, drive the analysis and forecasting of future markets and competitors.
- This is an excellent opportunity to work in a diverse team, with global and regional functions and provides direct visibility to the top management.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Understand the future voice of the customer and collaborate with Advanced Product Planning counterparts in Japan.
- Understand the future customer needs & expectations, future market trends and future competitive landscape
- Work collaboratively with Global Product Planning teams to influence proposals
- Define exciting and innovative vehicles and powertrain, based on study of the future customer and emerging trends.
- Create and present new model concepts up to Regional and Global Executives
- Gather and analyze data from various automotive sources to support product & strategy recommendations
- Manage the Product Portfolio and Source of Sales
- Manage the competitiveness of product and powertrain in the upstream development phases
- Work with cross functional departments (Regional Product Manager, Cross Car Line, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Design and Program Directors etc.)
BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED
Background & Experience (years)
Specific technical skills
- Bachelors degree in one of the following fields or related areas: Automotive Engineering / Product Design / Market Research & Customer Trends
- At least 8 years of working experience, automotive experience is a plus.
- Have an active interest in cars and the automotive industry
- Proactive, autonomous and achieve deadlines Professional experience in positions linked to Product Planning / Product Marketing / Customer Journey & Experience / Customer-Oriented Engineering is an advantage
- Professional experience in conducting market research and/or data analysis
- Experience working in project management and cross function teams
- Analytical skills to collect, consolidate and evaluate consumer and market data (JATO/NCBS/HIS…)
- Microsoft Office skills (EXCEL, PPT)
- Communication skills to convey ideas clearly, especially through powerpoint, and partner with diverse stakeholders and with executives
- Overall knowledge and understanding of automotive industry, trends and technologies
- Technical understanding of vehicle life-cycles
- Time management and organization to prioritize tasks for timely delivery
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Creative Problem Solving; innovative thinking to tackle challenges
- Full and Valid driving license

- Excellent understanding of Microsoft office tools, advanced MS Excel capability is a strong advantage

- Written and verbal fluency in English is a must, other language(s) are an advantage
