Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute cloud operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish operational KPIs, SLIs/SLOs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cloud Operations Management
  • Oversee Azure infrastructure lifecycle: provisioning, monitoring, optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Automation & Innovation
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first culture.
  • Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Team & Vendor Management
  • Build and mentor a global operations team; foster SRE and DevOps mindset.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with architecture, security, and application teams for seamless operations.
  • Represent cloud operations in executive reviews and governance boards.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, AKS, Security).
  • Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
  • Proficiency in automation scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Advanced understanding of monitoring & observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

Leadership & Strategic Skills

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale cloud operations teams.
  • Strong grasp of SRE principles, operational KPIs, and reliability engineering.
  • Expertise in cloud governance, FinOps, and risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • ITIL v4 or equivalent for operational processes.
