About the role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and help build and operate enterprise-grade data products that power reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-driven initiatives across NNE.
Based in Global IT's IT Development & Data team, you will join our data engineering team focused on delivering trusted and scalable data products. IT Development & Data brings together Data Engineers, System Developers, AI Developers, and IT Architects, and you will collaborate with these technical specialists as needed.
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data products while contributing to the evolution and operational excellence of NNE's enterprise data platform. You will work with data from engineering systems, ERP platforms and other enterprise applications. Your work will help make high-quality data accessible across the organisation, supporting better decision-making and accelerating digital innovation.

How you might spend your days
As a Data Engineer, you will be:
- Designing, building and maintaining enterprise data pipelines and data products.
- Delivering curated datasets and models for analytics, automation, and AI.
- Partnering with business stakeholders, data product owners and analysts to develop scalable data solutions.
- Operating and enhancing NNE’s Microsoft Fabric data platform.
- Contributing to data engineering standards, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

What you bring to the role

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with PySpark to transform, enrich, and process large-scale datasets.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and modern lakehouse architecture.
