Full description
A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for a Senior Transportation Project Manager for their Milwaukee office! This is a hybrid position that includes in office work three days a week and remote work two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Lead transportation infrastructure projects
- Establish work plans/staffing for projects
- Coordinate engineer, technician, and production
staff activities
- Prepare reports, specifications, and
communications
- Assist with business development
- Conduct meetings with internal teams and
clients
- Supervise design/technical development
- Ensure project goals are met within time/budget
constraints
- Ensure projects are delivered profitably
- Prepare design calculations/plans for a variety
of design projects
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and
technicians
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Travel to client meetings as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on transportation or highway design
- 8+
years of highway design/plan development or related transportation experience
- 5+
years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects
- PE
License in the State of Wisconsin; registration in two or more states preferred
- Strong
working knowledge of the project development process
- Previous
business development experience
- Ability
to write descriptive/technically accurate proposals, specifications, and reports
- Ability
to participate in, facilitate, or lead project team meetings
- Proficient
in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Experience
working with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads
- Experience
collaborating with a multi-disciplined team of highway design, traffic, bridge (structural), and water resources engineering professionals preferred
- Working
knowledge of Wisconsin DOT design/plan standards preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
