Position Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for evaluating historical data, building forecast models, and monitoring market trends to guide business investments and financial strategy, as well as translating complex financial performance into actionable reports and recommendations for executive leadership and department managers. 

Essential Functions

  • Manage month-end close reporting processes, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness 
  • Develop and maintain financial operating expense forecasts and budget guidance, incorporating headcount planning and departmental spending trends 
  • Analyze financial data and business metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement 
  • Partner with business units to build financial models, streamline reporting processes, and support strategic planning initiatives 
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and presentations to support leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations 
  • Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages. 
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop executive dashboards. 
  • Maintain and update customer, vendor, or employee account information across internal systems 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1–3 years of relevant corporate experience
  • Experience in medical, biotech, or healthcare sales is a plus
