Role Profile

The Business Analyst and Tester is responsible for business analysis and quality assurance activities across reporting, Salesforce, and connected applications within the Business Operations function at LLI. The successful candidate will be a business-minded technology professional with excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and delivery skills.

The role combines end-to-end business analysis with hands-on quality assurance, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, solutions are delivered to meet business needs, and changes are thoroughly tested before release.

The position is responsible for owning the requirements lifecycle, from engaging stakeholders to understand business needs through to creating detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and test scenarios for developers and delivery teams. The role is also responsible for planning and executing QA testing activities, coordinating user acceptance testing, identifying and managing defects, and ensuring solutions are thoroughly tested, accepted by users, and aligned to business priorities before release.

Business Analyst Responsibilities

· Own requirements gathering for reporting, Salesforce, and connected applications, working closely with stakeholders to understand business problems, priorities, and desired outcomes.

· Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and requirements, ensuring solutions align with architecture and platform principles across Salesforce, Snowflake, Power BI, and connected applications. Ensure scope, dependencies, and success measures are clearly defined and understood.

· Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation that enable effective delivery across reporting, Salesforce, and operational systems.

· Develop a deep understanding of how the business operates, including commercial, customer, product, reporting, and operational processes, to ensure solutions are practical and business-led.

· Champion agile ways of working, supporting effective backlog management, sprint planning, prioritisation, refinement, and continuous improvement of delivery practices.

· Collaborate with developers, platform owners, product stakeholders, and data teams on solution design, feasibility, estimations, and delivery planning.

· Support stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring requirements remain visible, changes are appropriately managed, and delivered solutions meet business needs.

QA / Testing Responsibilities

· Analyse requirements and user stories to develop robust testing scenarios, including functional, integration, regression, and edge-case testing across reporting, Salesforce, and connected applications.

· Execute structured QA prior to full user acceptance testing, identifying defects, gaps, and risks before changes are released to business users.

· Provide clear, timely feedback to developers to ensure all acceptance criteria, business rules, and quality standards are met.

· Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, test evidence, defect logs, and retest results in a consistent and auditable manner.

· Coordinate with business stakeholders during UAT, helping users understand test objectives, expected outcomes, and any known limitations.

· Validate data, reporting outputs, Salesforce configuration, workflows, and connected application changes to ensure they operate as expected across end-to-end user journeys.

· Support release readiness by confirming defects have been resolved, regression testing has been completed, and business acceptance is appropriately captured.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and testing practices, helping to improve consistency, coverage, and confidence in business operations solutions.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

· Proven experience as a Business Analyst with hands-on QA and testing responsibilities across Salesforce, reporting platforms, and related business applications.

· Strong experience gathering requirements, creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting delivery through agile ways of working.

· Experience planning and executing QA and testing activities, including test scenario development, defect management, regression testing, and UAT coordination.

· Understanding of Salesforce data models, processes, workflows, and platform capabilities, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.

· Working knowledge of Snowflake, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and connected business applications, with the ability to translate business requirements into reporting and data solutions.

· Experience analysing and documenting business processes, workflows, and operational requirements.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage business users, developers, and technology stakeholders effectively.

· Ability to understand complex system landscapes and assess the impact of changes across Salesforce, reporting platforms, data systems, and connected applications.

Desirable

· Experience in workshop facilitation, with the ability to challenge assumptions, drive consensus, and translate business needs into deliverable requirements.

· Experience working with technical delivery teams and managing requirements through the development lifecycle.

· Experience working in subscription-based businesses, ideally within B2B SaaS, information services, media, maritime, or other data-led organisations.
