As a senior financial analyst on the North America Finance Team, you will contribute to Starbucks success by supporting, developing and improving the financial processes that enable sound planning and decision-making for product sales, margin, COGS, and waste. This role leads weekly and monthly business performance insights to drive margin improvements. This role also supports the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.

As a senior financial analyst, you will…

· Evaluate financial results and analyze financial impact of product performance, highlighting risks & opportunities as well as providing strategic and tactical recommendations to leaders

· Support the financial planning process through strategic planning, annual financial plan, and quarterly forecast processes.

· Deliver executive-level presentations that tell the story, summarizes key insights for leaders

· Enjoy working on an energetic, collaborative, fast paced and fun team while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

We’d love to hear from people with:

• Bachelors degree or 4 or more years of US military experience
• 5 or more years of experience in a role performing financial analysis job functions, including budgeting, forecasting, planning and financial reporting
• 2 or more years of experience in a role using electronic financial modeling skills
• 3 or more years of experience in a role presenting financial analysis and recommendations to a business unit leader

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Advanced financial modeling skills
• Working knowledge of financial and management accounting principles

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
