The Akamai Financial Development Program (AFDP) includes three one-year assignments combining intensive job assignments, Akamai specific seminars, and a curriculum designed to advance individual productivity, business acumen, and resourcefulness. Assignments provide exposure to many finance specialties, including: business/product line finance, commercial/sales finance, corporate financial planning and analysis, and financial systems.

In each of your assignments, you will develop your finance skills with engaged support from program leadership, members, and mentors. You will gain broad exposure to many aspects of finance including reporting and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. After three years of training and professional development, you will stand out as a leader in finance.
As an Associate Financial Analyst with AFDP, you will be responsible for:
- Developing the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource planning analysis
- Performing deep-dive variance analysis on spend areas, collaborating with our accounting team to ensure proper expense recognition
- Learning the underlying systems, tools, and reporting cadences used across the finance organization to support the business
- Providing timely financial reporting of monthly results and analysis of key variances, business drivers, metrics, and trends
- Developing new data, reports, models, and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
- Identifying process improvement opportunities, gaining support for changes, and leading implementation collaboratively with our teams

- Be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field between January - June 2027(preferred)

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $53,600 - $96,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
