As a Reference Data Analyst within Party Reference Data Operations, you manage and maintain internal and external client reference data to support compliance with firm standards and required regulations. You liaise with business partners to clarify data requirements, drive remediation, and ensure timely, accurate delivery. You conduct data analysis and produce management information reporting to track data quality and operational performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production processes and a portfolio of projects to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reference data services
- Measure and analyze process performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data quality
- Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment on data requirements and remediation efforts
- Apply subject matter expertise in party reference data and data quality management to maintain high standards, promote transparency through metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Hold a university degree with 5+ years of experience in financial services or related industries
- Bring proven experience managing and maintaining client or reference data within a large organization
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools for reporting and data validation
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with stakeholders
- Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Interpret complex data sets to identify actionable insights, fact patterns, root causes, and key drivers
- Build reusable data and process automations and design interactive dashboards that deliver advanced analytics and actionable reporting
- Partner effectively in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
- Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and drive operational excellence
- Perform maker-checker functions on party data to support accuracy and compliance with internal standards
- Explain complex concepts in simple terms and prepare concise executive summaries for stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain management information reporting and leverage data to support business decisions
