Full description

The ATS Intracity Planning team at Amazon India is hiring for a Business Analyst position, seeking a candidate with a strong performance record and hands-on experience in data-driven decision-making. The role requires exceptional analytical skills, the ability to break down complex problems into structured, executable plans, and comfort with high ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities Deep-Dive Analytics: Independently scope, design, and execute complex analyses on intracity planning, network flow, demand patterns, capacity utilization, and cost drivers. Translate raw data into clear, actionable business insights that drive strategic decisions.

Dashboard & Reporting Ownership: Build, automate, and maintain self-serve dashboards using Amazon QuickSight and Tableau that give stakeholders real-time visibility into key planning metrics, operational health, and network performance.

SQL & Data Engineering: Write efficient, production-grade SQL on large datasets (Redshift, Hive, Athena). Build and maintain data pipelines using Hoot and Transform Jobs, create reusable datasets, and design Metric Jobs that scale across the team.

Python-Based Automation & Analysis: Leverage Python for advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, scripting, and automation of manual/repetitive workflows. Continuously raise the bar on team productivity through programmatic solutions.

AI Chatbot Integration & Agentic AI Development: Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered chatbots to automate stakeholder interactions, self-serve reporting, and operational queries. Build Agentic AI solutions that can autonomously execute workflows, surface insights, and drive decision-making with minimal human intervention.

Metric Job Creation & Ownership: Own the definition, creation, tracking, and reporting of team-level metrics and KPIs. Build automated Metric Jobs to power weekly/monthly business reviews (WBR/MBR). Investigate variances and root-cause performance misses.

Problem Identification & Opportunity Sizing: Proactively find gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities in planning logic, capacity allocation, and network design often before stakeholders ask. Frame these as business problems with quantified impact.

Stakeholder Communication: Present findings to senior leadership in crisp, data-backed narratives both written documents and verbal reviews. Influence decisions without authority using data and facts.

Process Improvement & Scalability: Identify, plan, and execute automation projects within the team. Make existing processes scalable by implementing available tools, automation, and AI-driven solutions. Roll out best practices and standardize tools across the network.
