Title:  React Developer

Location: Pune / Hyderabad / Mohali / Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and implementation of user-facing features using modern React (function components + Hooks).
  • Design and deliver highly responsive, accessible, and pixel-accurate UIs from wireframes / prototypes.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable React components and composable UI primitives (with Storybook).
  • Implement state management solutions: Context API for local/global concerns, and Redux (Redux Toolkit / middleware) for large-scale app state.
  • Create and publish Custom Hooks for cross-cutting concerns (data fetching, caching, form handling, feature flags).
  • Translate UX designs into performant React code using best practices (code-splitting, memoization, virtualization).
  • Ensure robust REST API integration with standardized error handling, retry/backoff strategies and typed response handling.
  • Drive test-first development: unit tests (Jest + React Testing Library), integration tests, and end-to-end tests (Cypress).
  • Own performance profiling and optimization across devices and browsers (Lighthouse budgets, bundle analysis, lazy loading).
  • Define and enforce accessibility (WCAG) and keyboard-driven interactions across components.
  • Mentor engineers, run knowledge transfer sessions, and coordinate cross-team integrations.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, delivery artifacts, and compliance/audit evidence.
  • Reduce technical debt by proposing pragmatic refactors, architecture improvements and risk mitigations.
  • Collaborate with global/regional stakeholders and contribute to Agile/DevOps processes (CI/CD, code quality gates).

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 8–10 years front-end experience; 3–6+ years hands-on with React in recent projects.
  • Deep proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), DOM and browser internals.
  • Expert with React Hooks (useState, useEffect, useMemo, useCallback, useRef), Context API and writing Custom Hooks.
  • Strong experience with Redux (prefer Redux Toolkit), middleware (thunks/sagas/observables), and patterns for scalable state.
  • Experience with Styled Components (or similar CSS-in-JS) and ability to architect themeable component systems.
  • Practical experience with Bootstrap / Material UI and utility libraries like Lodash.
  • Test-driven development experience with Jest and React Testing Library; E2E testing with Cypress or equivalent.
  • Proficient with REST API integration, async flows, and robust client-side error handling.
  • Familiar with build tools (Babel, Webpack), package managers (npm/yarn) and modern dev tooling.
  • Accessibility-first mindset and keyboard-driven development experience (ARIA patterns).
  • Competent with browser debugging, performance profiling and tools (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
  • Strong troubleshooting, benchmarking and optimization skills.
  • Toolchain experience: Git, JIRA, SonarQube, Jenkins, Postman, AppDynamics (or equivalents).
  • Cloud and test automation experience is a plus.
  • Domain advantage: Banking/Financial services experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation skills.
  • Comfortable mentoring, training and working in global, cross-timezone teams.
  • Agile and DevOps practical experience.

Good To Have:

  • TypeScript experience in React codebases (recommended for large apps).
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining internal component libraries (npm registry, versioning).
  • Experience with CI pipelines, Sonar quality gates and automated release flows.

Technical Skills:

  • React (latest stable) + Function Components + Hooks
  • Redux Toolkit for global state; React Context for local/global scoping
  • Styled-Components for CSS-in-JS and theming
  • Jest + React Testing Library; Cypress for E2E
  • Storybook for component library
  • TypeScript recommended
  • Webpack/Babel (or Vite for new projects), npm/yarn
  • CI: Jenkins/GitHub Actions; static quality: ESLint, Prettier, SonarQub
