Job DetailsJob Location: 201 CONOCOPHILLIPS - STILLWATER, OK 74078Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyJob Title: Senior Database Administrator Reports To: Vice President of Finance and Operations FLSA Classification: Exempt Nature of Work: The Senior Database Administrator designs, implements, and maintains databases in accordance with organizational needs. This position develops and/or maintains various data systems for daily business. Responsibilities: Program Management Develop and maintain automated business process programs Review, analyze, and evaluate database systems and user needs to provide recommendations and solutions parallel to overall business strategies Develop programs and systems to synchronize data between the Alumni Association website and other data systems Create, maintain, and execute data warehouse queries Process data requests and develop custom reports utilizing data from multiple sources, including the Alumni Association constituent database Provide in-house expertise and technical support to end users on database, software, and desktop-related issues: Identify, research, and resolve technical problems, working with outside vendors/technical support as needed, and documenting, tracking, and monitoring problems to ensure a timely resolution Procure, provision, and manage staff hardware, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals Provide technical guidance to OSUAA Information Services team Perform other duties as assigned Organizational Strategy Train staff in the use of the Alumni Association's standard software applications/databases, as needed Collaborate with the OSU Foundation and OSU Information Technology to remain informed on software projects, updates, upgrades, and additional services, including the use of AI technology Maintain goals and objectives by providing data and analytics for information services supporting alumni association programs Provide excellent customer service to all constituents requesting queries and IT support Facilitate the effectiveness of the Information Services team Qualifications Job Competencies and Experience: Education A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Management Information Systems or computer science with an emphasis in database management. SQL database experience and object-oriented programming experience are required. Experience Five or more years of experience in information technology, database management, or data analytics. Skills: Experience using a production environment and automating data flows between diverse data systems Experience writing SQL queries and delivering data to stakeholders Analytical skills to evaluate current systems Familiarity with AI tools, specifically Microsoft Copilot Strong communication skills Ability to prioritize workload and complete activities without close supervision Core Competencies: Effective Communication: Promotes the timely, seamless flow of high-quality information throughout and beyond the organization while encouraging the open exchange of ideas and opinions. Events and activities may be held outside, so there will be some outdoor exposure. The position requires availability to work nights and weekends, as determined by event scheduling. Travel may be required in and out of state.
