About the Role
Turium AI is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Business Analyst to support a major data and analytics program within a large Australian Federal Government department.
This is a 6–12 month contract with a strong focus on providing full-time Scrum Master and project delivery support for the Data project, while also providing Business Analyst support to the Analytics team, including requirements gathering, process analysis and documentation.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, data and analytics teams, technical teams and delivery partners to support Agile delivery, translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure project activities continue to progress across the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time Scrum Master support for the Data project, supporting day-to-day project delivery and Agile ways of working.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
- Support sprint planning, backlog management and tracking of project deliverables.
- Work closely with delivery teams to identify and remove blockers and maintain delivery momentum.
- Track project schedules, milestones, actions, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Maintain RAID registers, action logs, status reports and governance documentation.
- Provide Business Analyst support to the Analytics team, with a particular focus on requirements and documentation.
- Engage with business, data, analytics and technical stakeholders to understand business needs, processes and requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Develop and maintain business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and supporting documentation.
- Analyse current-state processes and contribute to future-state process and solution design.
- Translate business requirements into clear deliverables for data, analytics and technical teams.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting outcomes, decisions, requirements, process documentation and delivery artefacts.
- Prepare briefs, presentations, meeting papers and project updates for stakeholders and governance forums.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, working groups and project activities.
- Track actions and follow up with stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments are progressed.
- Support testing, UAT, implementation, transition and change activities where required.
- Work collaboratively across business, project, data, analytics, technology and vendor teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Project Officer, Project Coordinator or similar role within complex technology or transformation programs.
- Strong experience supporting Agile delivery teams, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint activities.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria and documentation.
- Experience supporting data, analytics, digital or ICT projects is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting projects through planning, delivery, testing and implementation.
- Strong experience producing high-quality project, business analysis and governance documentation.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, actions, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Experience working within Australian Government or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting data, analytics, ERP, digital or enterprise transformation programs would be advantageous.
Security Clearance
A current Australian Government security clearance is mandatory.
