About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Analyst, Finance Systems and Automation FP&A Systems & Analytics Analyst to build and drive automation in our finance function. This is a hands-on builder’s role for someone excited about the opportunity to design and implement workflows, integrations, dashboards, and AI agents that streamline finance processes and reduce mundane and manual workstreams. This role is ideal for someone who has a “builders” mindset; someone who takes initiative to solve problems and build solutions using the technology that is at their disposal.

You'll partner closely with finance team members and departmental managers to deliver system enhancements spanning across report and dashboard building, workflow automation, data table management, configurations and new feature enablement, and new system integrations and implementations. Importantly, this role will play an integral role in driving the effective adoption of AI throughout the finance team by leveraging tools such as Claude and building AI Agents.

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to work within a complex finance tech stack, including but not limited to: Sage Intacct, Aleph, QuadientAR (YayPay), Stripe, Avalara, Float, Expensify, and custom integrations with Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with finance team members and department leaders to identify pain points or redundancies in existing processes. Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing new or existing technology solutions and workflows that enhance and automate these processes.
  • Identify, implement, and drive adoption of AI-assisted tools such as Claude. Work with finance management and engineering to build AI Agents that drive automation throughout finance workflows where appropriate
  • Serve as the finance team's go-to resource for how data connects across systems and troubleshoot data integrity issues between integrated systems. Frequently reconcile databases to ensure continuous integrity and accuracy of data.
  • Partner with RevOps on matters involving finance system integrations with Salesforce. Continuously enhance and optimize out of the box and custom integrations to streamline order to cash processes.
  • Build, maintain, and expand dashboards and reporting in Aleph (or equivalent BI / reporting platforms) to serve recurring finance, board, and sponsor reporting needs.
  • Investigate and learn the application of new module and feature releases provided by software vendors as they become available. Assess the impact and relevance of these releases and develop a roll-out plan based on the incremental value added to the organization. Configure, test, and enable these new modules and features and host training sessions for team members to ensure appropriate adoption. Document new configurations and processes as they go-live.
  • Gain a deep understanding of finance tooling and its current application to team members. Build and maintain internal knowledge centers by documenting system configurations, workflows, and custom development that are used in practice and can be leveraged when building AI Agents.
  • Perform system administration tasks for all tools within the finance tech stack. Administration activities include but are not limited to maintaining and initiating role access and permissions, monitoring API and integration usage and connections, and investigating ad-hoc system issues
  • Triage and troubleshoot all finance system inquiries and issues. Investigate problems and offer solutions as these inquiries arise. Escalate to support channels offered by software vendors when appropriate to do so.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to support monthly/quarterly close, budgeting, forecasting, and board/sponsor reporting cycles as needed.
  • Partner with Information Security, Infrastructure, and IT management on matters involving governance, compliance, and controls.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as the finance team's needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience across finance, accounting, or business system roles, with hands-on experience with a mid-market ERP or finance system (Sage Intacct strongly preferred; other mid-market ERPs such as NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reports in a BI (e.g., Aleph, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Experience leveraging SQL to query, join, and build against databases independently. Ability to interpret vendor API documentation and perform scripting work to connect systems together is a bonus.
  • Experience with system configurations, enablement, and integrations. Direct involvement in system implementation or integration projects is strongly preferred.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted tools utilized for workflow automation is strongly preferred. Proven experience building AI Agents embedded in workflows is a bonus.
  • A combination of solid finance, accounting, and operation fundamentals. Deep financial modeling expertise is not required, but comfort with core Accounting and FP&A concepts is.
  • Strong attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business, including familiarity with ARR and other SaaS metrics.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
  • Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM / billing systems and how they integrate with finance systems.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • Select Revenue and Accounts Receivable processes are enhanced or automated using a combination of existing system functionality and AI.
  • Manual processes in Accounts Payable and Purchasing are converted to system workflows with measurable reduction in cycle time and touch points.
  • We also expect meaningful progress on financial and operational dashboards, finance system knowledge center documentation in Notion, and at least one AI Agent embedded in a live finance workflow.
