Position Summary: Credit Risk Data Governance & Oversight (CR DGO) is responsible for the interpretation, design, implementation and sustainment of best-in-class data management practices in Credit Risk (inclusive of internal and external data management requirements as the baseline). This is an enterprise role and covers all of Enterprise Credit and Global Banking Risk (ECGBR). This job is responsible for executing risk oversight for ECBGR data related activities, with a particular focus on multi-team process metric performance, thematic, compliance with enterprise related data policies and procedures, internal procedure management and audit/exam management.  The role compiles and reviews these activities such as the calculation, governance, controls, and data quality. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, exercise sound judgment, thrive in an environment that challenges the status quo, encourage debates, and influence stakeholders across a large matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:      

  • Support efforts to maintain compliance with the Enterprise Data Management (DAPIM Policies and Standards 
  • Responsible for internal QA metrics as a metric base owner, metric instance value provider and action plan owner in conjunction with the applicable internal SME
  • Responsible for identifying and escalating problems or issues that arise and drives actions to address the root causes that lead to compliance with DAPIM multi-team metrics, control effectiveness responses, and thematic analysis
  • Responsible for internal issues management reporting and quarterly SLT SPI Summary reporting
  • Assists in managing internal repository for documentation to comply with DAPIM Policies and Standards
  • Responsible for internal procedure refresh schedule as well as performing second level procedure review.
  • Responsible for CR DGO compliance with records management requirements 
  • Responsible for internal issues management reporting and quarterly SLT SPI Summary reporting
  • Assists in responding to internal audits, examinations or regulatory inquiries
  • Assists as an additional Process Owner delegate to manage CRGMO process including schedule for annual reviews for internal controls
  • Assists in review of DAPIM policy and standard refresh cycle
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across different teams, build consensus and execute strategic objectives
  • Ability to interpret data management policies and identify impacts to data management processes and artifacts

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in financial services, data management, process management and/ or project management
  • Adept at communication with ability to influence co-workers across our global team and key enterprise and internal partners
  • Ability to think strategically while also able to translate broad strokes to actions
  • An autonomous self-starter that is organized, versatile, and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight
  • Innovative with the ability to identify simpler and better ways of doing things; embraces and adapts to change well and leverages Copilot to simplify and automate activities
