[What the role is]

SENIOR TECHNICAL / TECHNICAL MANAGER, CLOUD & SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, development and implementation of secure and scalable digital solutions. You will provide technical guidance and hands-on implementation across software development, DevSecOps and cloud/infrastructure engineering, as well as review solution architecture and engineering approaches. You will work with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, maintainable and aligned with technical standards and best practices. In addition, you will drive engineering improvements, resolve complex technical issues and mentor engineers across different technical disciplines.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in software development, DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud/infrastructure engineering or solution architecture.
  • Broad technical knowledge across software development, DevOps and infrastructure/cloud engineering, with deeper expertise in one or more areas.
  • Hands-on technical capability and willingness to contribute to implementation, including development, automation, infrastructure provisioning and troubleshooting where required.
  • Familiarity with programming, scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using technologies such as Terraform, Python, JavaScript and other commonly used languages or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, APIs and modern software development practices.
  • Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture, including compute, networking, storage, security and monitoring.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and secure software development practices.
  • Ability to review technical designs, identify risks and trade-offs, and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
  • Knowledge or experience with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and SHIP-HATS would be an advantage.
