Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Informatica Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise data integration solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. This role will be responsible for building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica technologies, Python, and SQL to support data warehousing, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Informatica development, advanced SQL and Python skills, cloud data platforms, and data warehouse architecture, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC/IICS).
- Build scalable data pipelines integrating data from databases, applications, APIs, cloud platforms, and flat files.
- Develop and support enterprise data warehouse, data lake, and analytics solutions.
- Create and maintain Python-based automation, data processing, validation, and monitoring solutions.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
- Implement data quality, reconciliation, and governance controls to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data integration workflows and platform performance.
- Partner with Data Architects, BI teams, business stakeholders, and application teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead design reviews, establish development standards, and mentor junior data engineers.
- Support cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, or Data Integration.
- 5+ years of hands-on Informatica development experience, including PowerCenter and/or IDMC/IICS.
- 3+ years of experience developing data engineering solutions using Python.
- Strong experience with data warehouse design and dimensional modeling.
- Advanced SQL development and performance tuning experience.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
