Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support enterprise travel and entertainment expense management, spend optimization, and fraud detection initiatives. This role will play a critical part in analyzing employee expense activity, delivering actionable insights to leadership, and enhancing systems and controls—particularly within Oracle Fusion Expenses. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with systems knowledge and a proactive mindset for identifying inefficiencies, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Expense Analysis & Spend Management

  • Analyze employee expense reports to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Monitor compliance with company travel & expense policies
  • Partner with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Compliance teams to improve expense controls
  • Develop and build metrics and KPIs to measure and manage organizational spend

Fraud Detection & Risk Mitigation

  • Identify suspicious transactions, duplicate claims, and potential fraud indicators
  • Perform investigative analysis and support audit activities as needed
  • Recommend and implement stronger preventive and detective controls
  • Build reporting and alert mechanisms to proactively flag high-risk activity

Management Reporting & Insights

  • Design and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports for senior leadership
  • Create dashboards that provide visibility into spend patterns, cost drivers, and risk areas
  • Translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review processes

Oracle Fusion Expenses Enhancements

  • Serve as a business subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Expenses
  • Help design, test, and implement new features, workflows, and system improvements
  • Support system configurations, policy updates, and user experience enhancements
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors on system upgrades and issue resolution

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, expense management, or audit
  • Experience with expense reporting systems (Oracle Fusion preferred)
  • Experience with fraud detection, internal audit, or compliance programs

Core Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of financial systems integrations and process automation
  • Experience working in a large, multi-entity or global organization
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data modeling)
  • Ability to interpret large datasets and present findings clearly
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions.
  • Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems using critical thinking skills and identify and drive appropriate solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

Salary Range: $68,500 - $85,500 annually, depending on experience and geographic location.

Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements, and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.
