About TM Forum
TM Forum is a global alliance of more than 850 communications service providers, vendors, hyperscalers and system integrators, together generating US$2 trillion in revenue and serving five billion customers across 180 countries. We unite these diverse communities to drive end-to-end change, putting the sector at the heart of the global connected economy and providing an open platform for innovation and growth.
We are seeking a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to lead marketing for TM Forum’s Autonomous Networks Mission. This role is ideal for someone who understands the realities of modern network operations and has relevant telecommunications experience gained within a communications service provider (CSP), technology or network vendor, systems integrator (SI), OSS/BSS provider or telecommunications consultancy.
You will help articulate the industry vision for autonomous operations, create compelling market narratives and drive engagement with the frameworks, benchmarks, best practices, collaborative projects and industry assets shaping the future of AI-powered network operations. Working closely with Mission leaders, member companies and technical experts, you will translate complex industry initiatives into impactful marketing programmes that accelerate adoption and demonstrate member value.
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Director of Product Marketing and Autonomous Networks Mission leadership to develop and deliver the Mission marketing strategy and go-to-market plan.
- Develop clear, compelling messaging and positioning that connects the industry’s network complexity, operational and commercial challenges with the value of autonomous operations.
- Create executive-level narratives and thought leadership around Autonomous Networks, AI-powered operations, network automation, autonomous domains and the Autonomous Enterprise.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for executive, commercial and technical audiences.
- Plan and execute campaigns supporting Autonomous Networks initiatives, industry assets, benchmarks, certifications, Catalysts and member collaboration programmes.
- Create high-quality marketing materials including industry reports, white papers, case studies, customer stories, blogs, presentations, executive briefings, webinars and website content.
- Work closely with Mission owners, product management, technical experts, member engagement, sales, communications and events teams to align product development and collaboration activity with market needs.
- Monitor market developments across Autonomous Networks, AIOps, intent-driven operations, service assurance, orchestration, closed-loop automation, OSS transformation and AI-native operations.
- Conduct market, customer and competitive research to identify emerging opportunities, adoption barriers and content priorities.
- Represent TM Forum and the Autonomous Networks Mission at DTW-Ignite, regional events, webinars and relevant industry conferences.
- Move confidently between the big picture and hands-on delivery, producing high-quality practical outputs within short timeframes.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, members and stakeholders at all levels across a global organisation.
- Manage multiple priorities with strong analytical, planning and organisational discipline.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3-5+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing, portfolio marketing, industry marketing or a closely related role within telecommunications or technology.
- Relevant domain knowledge gained within a CSP, technology or network vendor, SI, OSS/BSS provider or telecommunications consultancy.
- Strong understanding of network operations and operational transformation, with knowledge of areas such as OSS, service assurance, orchestration, network management, automation or service operations.
- Experience translating complex technical propositions into differentiated, customer-focused messaging and clear business value.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and storytelling skills in English.
- Proven ability to create influential content for both executive and technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, organisations and geographies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- A dynamic and flexible attitude, combined with the confidence to engage people at all levels.
Experience that would set you apart:
- Direct experience of Autonomous Networks, AI-driven operations, AIOps, network automation, intent-based networking or closed-loop operations.
- Familiarity with TM Forum’s Autonomous Networks vision, maturity levels, frameworks, benchmarks or certification programmes.
- Knowledge of TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA), Open APIs, cloud-native technologies and microservices architectures.
- Experience marketing OSS, assurance, orchestration, network automation, AI, data analytics or operational transformation solutions.
What success looks like:
- Increased awareness and understanding of TM Forum’s Autonomous Networks Mission across the global telecommunications industry.
- Growth in member engagement with Autonomous Networks collaboration, assets, benchmarks and industry programmes.
- A clear, differentiated and consistent Autonomous Networks narrative across campaigns, events, web content, sales enablement and thought leadership.
- A strong pipeline of member stories, use cases and market evidence demonstrating progress towards higher levels of autonomous operation.
- TM Forum increasingly recognised as the industry convenor and authority helping CSPs and their partners advance towards Autonomous Networks and the Autonomous Enterprise.
Why Join TM Forum?
- Work at the centre of one of the telecommunications industry’s most significant transformation programmes, collaborating with the organisations shaping the future of AI-powered network operations.
- Influence an entire industry ecosystem rather than marketing a single product, helping define how CSPs progress from assisted automation towards autonomous operations.
- Build recognised thought leadership and contribute to practical frameworks, benchmarks and collaboration that accelerate industry-wide change.
- Benefit from opportunities for professional development and advancement in a collaborative global team.
