The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer with a strong background Java development for our Integrated Broadcast Service-Network Services (IBS-NS) program. The Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) is a worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) network designed to transmit time-sensitive tactical and strategic intelligence and targeting data from various sources to authorized users across all echelons, in near real-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, porting, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that align with our company’s objectives and standards. This role requires a collaborative team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have extensive knowledge of system implementation and full project lifecycle experience. We are seeking candidates with substantial experience in full stack web application development, implementation, and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement enhancements and repairs in Java and C++ code bases
  • Provide support to fielded IBS Sites
  • Making recommendations and applying best technical design to meet customer requirements
  • Continuously innovating to automate processes, implement best practices, and improve the overall system architecture’s scalability, high availability, and performance
  • Actively engaging in agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and software peer reviews
  • Debugging and troubleshooting code to resolve issues promptly
  • Writing and executing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
  • Documenting technical designs, processes, and any issues encountered

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently hold an active Secret clearance and ability to successfully achieve a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
  • BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline
  • 5 years of professional experience in software development with Java
  • Strong front-end web development skills. Expert in one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, XSL, JSP, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with modern front-end JavaScript libraries or frameworks, such as Angular or React
  • Knowledge of the CI/CD pipeline and DevOpsSec
  • Demonstrated experience building modern, user-friendly web applications
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and with interacting with the database through SQL and/or stored procedures
  • Experience with one or more of the following frameworks, architectures, or patterns: MVC, REST, XML, JSON, Spring, or SOAP
  • Experience with one or more of the following build automation tools: Maven, Ant, Bjam
  • Experience with source code version control systems with a particular understanding of Git and GitLab
  • Experience with JBoss and/or Tomcat web servers
  • Ability to document technical designs, processes, and any issues encountered
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Desired:

  • Experience with Integrated Development Environments such as VS Code
  • Knowledge of the Angular JS framework
  • Knowledge of C++
  • Knowledge of JMS
  • Software containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., K8, OpenShift, Docker)
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes
  • Experience executing Unix command-line utilities in one or more shells
  • Experience with one or more technologies for working with XML and an XSD: JAXB, XSD
  • Experience using GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with one or more of the following stack: Grafana Alloy, Prometheus, Loki

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,200
