Demand Request: Offshore Business Analyst – Clinical Domain Role: Offshore Business Analyst – Clinical Testing Domain Location: Offshore – India Experience: 10–12 years preferred Demand Type: Clinical domain BA with strong product, requirements, and testing orientation Position Summary We are looking for a strong offshore Business Analyst with hands-on experience in Clinical domain projects, preferably from reputed competitor SI organizations or pharma/life sciences technology delivery environments. The candidate should be able to independently engage with business stakeholders in USA, discuss clinical business processes for GenAI platform, analyze requirements, and convert them into clear, actionable, and testable user stories for Agile delivery teams. The role requires a combination of domain understanding, structured requirements management, strong communication, functional validation, technical feasibility validation and the ability to support end-to-end delivery from requirement elicitation through UAT and production readiness. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Clinical business stakeholders, product owners, IT teams, QA, and delivery teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
  • Analyze Clinical domain processes, workflows, data flows, and application behavior to identify gaps, dependencies, and solution expectations.
  • Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage product backlogs in tools such as Jira, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, estimated, and ready for sprint execution.
  • Manage process flow diagrams, truth tables, and metadata in Confluence.
  • Work with structured database, able to explore and understand data and meta data replated to those.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning support, demos, and stakeholder walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure that delivered functionality aligns with business expectations and Clinical domain requirements.
  • Support functional testing, test scenario creation, test case review, UAT planning, UAT execution, defect triage, and business sign-off.
  • Validate application functionality, dashboards, reports, data outputs, and user journeys against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Prepare user documentation, release notes, training material, and product walkthrough content as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of overall experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner or Functional Consultant in IT delivery programs.
  • Strong prior experience working on Clinical domain projects such as clinical trials, clinical development, CTMS, EDC, clinical operations, clinical data platforms, clinical analytics, clinical testing data, and drug discovery.
  • Ability to understand business problems and convert them into well-structured epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery practices, Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and iterative delivery.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence or similar tools for backlog management, documentation, and delivery tracking.
  • Experience in RDBMS, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL
  • Good understanding of software testing lifecycle, UAT coordination, defect management, traceability, and functional validation.
  • Awareness of GxP, data integrity, data security, validation, and compliance expectations in regulated pharma/life sciences environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently from offshore while collaborating with global stakeholders across time zones.

Preferred Candidate Background

  • Candidates from reputed SI competitors or life sciences technology service providers who have delivered Clinical domain transformation programs.
  • Experience working with global pharma clients, clinical operations teams, R&D stakeholders, or clinical data/product teams.
  • Exposure to clinical platforms, data products, analytics dashboards, NLQ/data validation use cases, or clinical workflow applications.
  • Prior experience acting as a bridge between business users and engineering teams in complex enterprise application programs.
  • Experience creating process flows, fit-gap analysis, wireframes, user journeys, test scenarios, and functional walkthrough material.
  • Preferably to be from IIM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
