Our Opportunity
Pacific Smiles Group is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team and support the financial performance and growth of Australia's largest branded dental network.
Reporting to the Group Commercial Manager, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver timely, accurate and insightful performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

Based in Malvern with hybrid working, you'll be part of a collaborative finance team focused on continuous improvement, data-driven insights and business growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning & Budgeting
- Support the development of multi-year business plans and annual budgets, including cash flow and balance sheet
- Partner with stakeholders to build financial models that support organisational strategy
- Monitor the financial health of the business, provide insight into variance analysis and collaboratively develop recommendations on future actions
- Provide input into financial risks and trade-offs impacting business decisions
Commercial & Performance Reporting
- Support the development and delivery of regular business performance reporting and variance analysis
- Utilise business intelligence tools to drive frictionless, data-driven reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify root causes and provide actionable insights that drive accountability and performance improvement
- Support board reporting and key stakeholder financial information requirements
- Partner with leaders across the business to help interpret financial results
Forecasting & Commercial Insight
- Support the rolling forecast process across the business, including cash flow and balance sheet
- Monitor performance against forecast, communicate variances and recommend future actions
- Conduct scenario analysis and financial modelling to guide business decisions and illustrate trade-offs
- Build collaborative stakeholder relationships to improve forecasting accuracy and engagement
Finance Team Support
- Provide financial modelling and analytical support for strategic, capital and investment decisions
- Contribute to finance improvement initiatives and data-driven reporting
- Assist the broader finance team with analysis, reporting and ad-hoc projects
About You
You're a commercially curious accountant who enjoys translating numbers into insights that drive better decisions.
You will likely bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- CPA / CA / CIMA (or working towards)
- 3+ years' experience in management accounting, financial analysis or commercial finance
- Strong experience producing management reporting and enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, with strong problem-solving and creative thinking
- Knowledge of accounting and finance regulatory, compliance and reporting requirements
- Confidence communicating financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Bonus experience:
- Power BI or other data visualisation tools
- ERP systems such as Pronto
- Working with databases
