Job Location: Waco, TX
Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, with a focus on the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with the RMF process used throughout the DoD. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Cybersecurity Requirements: Collaborate with ISSEs to identify protection needs for systems, software, and networks. Document security controls/requirements for inclusion in the system requirements specifications.
- Support Cybersecurity Design: Assist system engineers in overarching system design with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Support Creation of Cybersecurity Body of Evidence: Create and review System Security Plans (SSPs), System/Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Network and Dataflow Drawings.
- Support Cybersecurity Verification/Test: Verify security control implementation through development and execution of Cybersecurity Test Plans/Procedures and use of System Scanning Tools.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree program in engineering or Information Technology or related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
