Technical/Functional skills
- Ability to develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results based on the application requirements
- Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
- Strong attention to details - able to document and follow detailed instructions within test scripts as well as defects tracking documents (i.e., steps to recreate the problem)
- Understanding of testing concepts and how testing fits in with the overall project life cycle
- Execute test scripts.
- Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plans.
- Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
- Validate product fixes.
- Strong knowledge in Banking
- Able to handle assignment independently with minimum supervision
- Able to lead junior tester
- Technical knowledge in banking application
- Report on Defects, ensure traceability of defects, and discuss issues with developers
- Prepare daily status report for project status progress
- Assess readiness for project deployment recommendation based on test results
- Perform "live" or post deployment validation when required
- Able to take initiative to call for stakeholders to resolve issues that impact the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.
Test Automation
- Drive and oversee the test automation strategy across projects
- Lead and guide the design and maintenance of automation frameworks, with Playwright as the preferred tool
- Hands-on experience with Playwright is highly preferred; experience with other test automation tools is also welcome
- Establish and enforce automation standards, best practices, and governance
- Review automation scripts, results, and coverage to ensure quality and reliability
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
- Mentor and develop automation skills within the QA team
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to resolve quality issues
- Assess release readiness based on automated and overall test results
