Job Details: Job Location: WAF - Manitowoc, WI 54220, Position Type: Full Time, QA Assistant Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry | Manitowoc, WI Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Are you detail-oriented, curious, and interested in learning more about quality and manufacturing? Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is looking for a QA Assistant to join our Quality team and support a variety of activities that help ensure our products and processes meet customer and company requirements. This role offers a good mix of office work and hands-on experience on the production floor. You’ll work closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Production while gaining exposure to inspections, blueprints, measuring equipment, quality documentation, process improvements, and foundry operations. If you enjoy learning how things are made, paying attention to the small details, and helping improve processes, this could be a great opportunity to grow your experience in manufacturing quality. What You’ll Do Maintain and update quality documents, process sheets, work instructions, and records. Assist with dimensional inspections, blueprint interpretation, and measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers. Support first article inspections, quality data collection, nonconformance records, and corrective actions. Work with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Production teams on process improvements and quality-related projects. Gain hands-on exposure to foundry processes, customer requirements, quality systems, and continuous improvement activities. What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn and work in both office and manufacturing environments.
