We are seeking a talented individual to join our accounting operations team, part of our business at Marsh. This role will be based in Warsaw - Prosta. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will Independently support strategic and tactical project work for Finance and Financial Systems. You will identify improvements acting as SME and leading small teams on projects liaising between IT, users, and senior management to track tasks, resolve issues, and deliver updates.

This is a vacancy that will require a mindset of curiosity, an open willingness to learn and push for continuous improvement across multiple global teams.

We will count on you to:

Assist in the creation of strategic documents including Project Business cases, Assessments, Communication plans and detailed project plans.

Work independently with Financial Systems team and user groups to prepare rationale for new system implementation to support a function and/or business.

Research problems/issues and recommend solutions; providing tactical analysis associated with projects.

Test system enhancements, upgrades; while liaising between IT and user group; supporting the production users in their day-to-day jobs.

Analyze data when required.

Participate in projects by providing input to the project structure and acting as a SME (Subject Matter Expert); completing assigned tasks in projects managed by external PM’s; providing input and information for strategic documents such as Project Business cases, Assessments, Communication plans, detailed project plans and presenting project updates/presentations to senior level management within Finance;

Recommend process improvements as appropriate based on analysis.

Perform process mapping to evaluate various accounting processes and recommend improvements based on analysis - i.e. robotics vs. other solutions.

Lead small teams on minor projects; using project implementation documentation including implementation toolkits, and migration schedules to create required work output; keeping track of issues; tracks tasks and follows up with responsible individual; escalates issues when appropriate.

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience in business analysis, preferably within accounting or finance.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
