Position Summary Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a highly experienced Product Support Manager to lead Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning, sustainment strategy development, and logistics execution for an Army ground vehicle program. As a senior individual contributor, this role is responsible for coordinating all product support elements across the lifecycle, ensuring the system meets Army sustainment requirements and is fielded with a robust and reliable support infrastructure. The Product Support Manager will work extensively with engineering, logistics, technical publications, provisioning, supply chain, and test teams to deliver comprehensive supportability products and readiness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements including maintenance planning, supply support, technical data, training, support equipment, facilities, packaging/handling/storage/transportation, sustaining engineering, and fielding support.
- Develop and maintain the system’s lifecycle sustainment strategy, ensuring alignment with Army sustainment objectives and program needs.
- Coordinate with engineering to validate supportability requirements, maintenance concepts, failure modes, and technical data required for sustainment.
- Oversee creation and integration of logistics data products including provisioning data, maintenance tasks, supportability analyses, sustainment metrics, and technical publication inputs.
- Collaborate with technical publications, provisioning, and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across all support documentation and support product deliverables.
- Develop and manage product support plans, logistics assessments, fielding strategies, and documentation required for Army reviews and acceptance. Ensure compliance with applicable Army and industry provisioning guidelines, including alignment with DI-SESS 81758A, DI-SESS, GEIA-HB-0007, DODM 4100.39, SAE-TA-STD-0017, MIL-HDBK 539 and GEIA‑STD‑0007 principles and related sustainment data expectations.
- Support test and evaluation planning related to sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and support equipment verification.
- Participate in logistics working groups, technical interchange meetings, engineering reviews, and Army sustainment discussions.
- Identify sustainment risks, gaps, and dependencies and implement mitigation actions to ensure lifecycle support readiness.
- Provide detailed reports, support documentation, plans, and status updates to internal leadership and government stakeholders.
- Ensure product support efforts remain aligned with Army logistics practices and life‑cycle management principles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Extensive experience in product support, sustainment engineering, or logistics management for military ground vehicles or defense systems.
- Strong understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS), Army sustainment planning, and lifecycle logistics principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering data, maintenance information, configuration documents, and sustainment metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work across engineering and logistics functions in a complex development environment.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for interfacing with cross‑functional teams and Army representatives.
- U.S. citizenship required; security clearance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting tracked or wheeled military vehicle programs.
- Background in provisioning, technical publications, LSAR/LSA principles, or logistics product development.
- Familiarity with Army sustainment planning, fielding processes, and logistics documentation workflows.
- Experience developing product support materials within a digital or model‑based engineering environment.
