Data Analyst (ERP Migration & Marketing Analytics)
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

Summary:
This position plays a pivotal role in modernizing our university's data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. In this hybrid role, you will partner closely with our IT department to drive data conversion efforts as we migrate from our legacy Oracle ERP to a modern SaaS environment (PostgreSQL). Simultaneously, this position serves as the primary data partner for our Marketing and Lead Management teams. You will be responsible for managing Salesforce data, analyzing our enrollment funnel, and transitioning our legacy WebFOCUS reports into modern, actionable dashboards using Power BI and our new SaaS Insights tools.
Responsibilities:
ERP Migration & Data Conversion (IT Support)
- Partner with IT to map, extract, and cleanse historical data from our legacy Oracle database for migration to the new PostgreSQL SaaS environment.
- Execute complex data transformations, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and mapping rules are strictly adhered to during the conversion process.
- Troubleshoot data anomalies and discrepancies between legacy and target systems.
- Document data dictionaries, schema changes, and migration workflows for institutional knowledge.
Reporting Modernization (WebFOCUS Decommissioning)
- Audit and analyze existing legacy reports in WebFOCUS to understand current business logic and reporting requirements.
- Rebuild and optimize critical legacy reports into modern, interactive dashboards using Power BI and native SaaS 'Insights' reporting modules.
- Assist in the eventual decommissioning of WebFOCUS by ensuring all necessary data visualizations have been successfully transitioned.
Marketing & Lead Management Analytics
- Act as the primary data liaison for Marketing and Admissions/Lead Management, translating business goals into data requirements.
- Extract and analyze lead generation, campaign, and applicant pipeline data from Salesforce.
- Develop dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as marketing ROI, lead conversion rates, and funnel velocity.
- Identify trends and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations to improve university enrollment and marketing strategies.
- Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
- Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in business information systems, computer science, or related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 2-3 years of data and migration experience is a plus.
- Database & SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries. Hands-on experience with both Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL is highly desired.
- Data Migration Experience: Proven experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, specifically moving data between disparate systems or supporting ERP implementations.
- CRM Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce data structures (Leads, Contacts, Opportunities) and how to extract this data for analysis.
- BI & Visualization Tools: Experience building interactive dashboards in Power BI.
- Legacy System Transition: Experience reverse-engineering legacy reporting tools (experience with WebFOCUS is a major plus) and migrating them to modern BI platforms.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, non-technical insights for university leadership and marketing stakeholders.
- Higher Education Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with university admissions cycles, student information systems, and lead management within a higher ed context.
- Familiarity with federal regulations governing student and institutional data security.
- Demonstrated ability to think logically, analyze data, and process detailed information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain). Some travel between locations is required (own transportation).
- No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or Saturdays as needed, additional hours during peak times or project cutover windows, or as required.
