Full description

Deliver advanced data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support EXL’s client driven strategic decision-making initiatives. Develop optimized SQL queries and perform in depth data assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for reporting and analytics consumption. Design, develop, deploy, and validate scalable BI reporting and data visualization solutions using leading platforms including Tableau, Power BI, and/or ThoughtSpot. Ensure that all solutions follow industry best practices and EXL’s established visualization standards, performing rigorous unit testing and data validation to confirm accuracy, data integrity, and functionality. migrates manual reporting processes into standardized, automated environments through ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows, built using data engineering tools such as Alteryx and/or Dataiku or scripting languages such as Python.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, including product owners, operations leaders, client partners, and technical teams, to gather and document reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical and analytical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing metrics, streamline reporting structures, and eliminate redundancies by recommending adoption of standardized dashboards, automated workflows, and mobile enabled information delivery via Tableau or Power BI mobile applications.
  • Manage project tasks, develops communication materials and executive ready presentation decks, coordinates deliverables across onshore and offshore team members, supports structured feedback cycles, and ensures timely completion of analytics activities.
  • Develop and analyze test and control datasets. Perform statistical analysis to measure program performance, calculate Return on Investment (ROI), and identify statistically meaningful changes in customer behavior, operational efficiency, or financial outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver analytics presentations to senior leadership and external clients, explaining analytical findings, technical methodologies, and recommended business actions in a clear and structured manner.
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI driven automation within the BI ecosystem, including the deployment of AI agents and automated decision workflows to streamline recurring tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support cloud based analytics implementations leveraging GCP Cloud, BigQuery, and related cloud services, ensuring that EXL’s analytic solutions remain scalable, secure, and aligned with modern cloud architecture practices.
  • Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Telecommuting permitted.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of Business intelligence or data analytics experience. Experience must include the following: Five (5) years of experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for analytics and Bl reporting; Four (4) years of experience in developing

interactive Bl dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power Bl or ThoughtSpot; Three (3) years of experience in the following: Applying dimensional modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas) for analytics and reporting; Implementing ETL/ELT processes (data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading) using Python, Alteryx, Dataiku, Informatica, or equivalent tools; Two (2) years of experience in the following: Conducting statistical analysis using test/control datasets, including ROI and impact measurement; Using Python for data analysis and automation (e.g., scripting, data manipulation); Supporting cloud-based analytics solutions and querying cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery (or equivalent); Performing testing and validation of Bl reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary range: $170,000 to $175,000 per year.
