Job Description:

The L3H organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary design team responsible for Radio Frequency, power supply, digital, and antenna engineering development. This role will report to the Director of Hardware and Specialty Engineering.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and support the development of RF, power supply, digital, and antenna hardware for complex communications systems.
  • Guide and mentor engineers across multiple disciplines, allocate resources, improve processes, and build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Partner with program management, systems engineering, and functional leaders to balance technical performance, cost, schedule, and staffing priorities.
  • Support business development, capture, and proposal activities, including technical inputs, and estimates.
  • Manage hiring, employee development, performance reviews, and engagement for the engineering team
  • Ensure teams meet commitments for performance, cost, and schedule.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Active U.S. Security Clearance Preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience working closely with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, test, and program teams in a matrixed development environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and leadership.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills, with a track record of developing technical leaders.
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, SATCOM, wireless communications, EW, radar, or other mission-critical RF systems.
  • Strong familiarity with RF front-end design, antenna subsystem development, digital signal processing hardware, and power conversion / power management architectures.
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in hardware development involving combinations of RF, analog, digital, power supply, antenna, or mixed-signal design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering leadership, functional management, integrated product team leadership, and/or personnel management experience.
