Full description

OEC provides software solutions to those who work in the automotive parts and repair industry. Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. OEC partners with many of the world’s largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, shops and repairers, and service providers, giving our customers access to a comprehensive network and a streamlined workflow.

About the Role

We're looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to lead cross-functional teams building scalable SaaS products. This hybrid role (Alpharetta, GA office one day/week) blends hands-on technical leadership with people management — you'll drive execution, grow engineering talent, and champion a "you build it, you own it" culture where teams own their systems end-to-end.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow full-stack engineering teams delivering features using .NET, Angular/React, and AWS
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical ownership
  • Drive delivery across multiple initiatives, aligning engineering with product goals
  • Partner with product managers to refine backlogs and prioritize work
  • Coach and mentor engineers, supporting career growth
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team scales
  • Ensure systems are secure, performant, testable, and observable
  • Participate in architecture reviews, favoring sound, scalable decisions

Tech Stack: .NET/C#, Kotlin/Java, Angular, React, TypeScript, AWS (SQS, SNS, S3, EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM), PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes/containers, CI/CD

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years managing software engineering teams in an agile environment
  • 6+ years hands-on engineering experience, ideally with .NET and modern JS frameworks
  • Strong grasp of full-stack SaaS architecture, CI/CD, and cloud-native development
  • Track record delivering software with cross-functional partners
  • Experience leading distributed/remote-first teams
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder skills

Nice to Have: AWS/public cloud experience; observability tools (Datadog, App Insights); microservices/event-driven/domain-driven design; multi-tenant SaaS experience; secure development practices

What Sets You Apart: You lead with calm confidence, balance delivery with team health, champion engineering excellence pragmatically, and create space for autonomy and accountability.

What We Offer:

  • Full benefits starting Day 1: Medical, Dental, and Vision
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Unlimited Flex Time Off plus 10 company-paid holidays
  • Remote-first role with monthly communication stipend
  • Professional development programs and tuition assistance
  • Home office equipment stipend
  • Employee resource groups and exclusive employee discounts

What makes working at OEC awesome? It varies from employee to employee. For some, it's the flexibility - whether it's remote work or a hybrid or in-person role, OEC takes our teams across multiple time zones and international communities. For others, it's the strong sense of camaraderie and community that celebrates both individuals and team-driven contributions. Or it could be the empowerment and how the team is encouraged to take risks, learn, and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. But no matter what gets us out of bed in the morning, our whole global community is inspired to be forward thinking and drive innovative solutions for the automotive parts and repair industry.
