When the network goes down at the worst moment, you are the one they call.

A multinational defence organisation in Mons runs a large enterprise network from its ownoperations centre, and it needs senior engineers at second line - people who can read thetelemetry, find the fault and bring the service back while everyone else is still asking whathappened. Three seats are open, fully on site.

What you would be doing

  • Running day-to-day network operations: tickets, incidents, work orders, changes and problemrecords
  • Configuring, tuning and troubleshooting routing and switching - BGP, OSPF and STP
  • Watching the estate with Splunk, CA Spectrum and similar tools, and building the dashboards,alerts and reports that make trouble visible early
  • Reading logs and telemetry to spot risk before it becomes an outage
  • Leading the response when something critical fails, keeping stakeholders informed and gettingthe service back inside its targets
  • Automating configuration management, backups and change checks, and keeping thedocumentation and procedures accurate
  • Being the senior escalation point for the network problems nobody else can crack

What you would bring

  • CCNP (Enterprise) or an equivalent advanced networking certification
  • Seven or more years of hands-on enterprise network engineering and operations
  • Deep routing and switching knowledge - BGP, OSPF, STP
  • Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, dashboards and alerting, plus other network monitoringtools
  • Real experience of incident management, root cause analysis and major outage recovery
  • Professional English, and the flexibility to work outside office hours now and then
