POSITION PURPOSE

The Business Analyst I (BAI) is an entry-level position that supports the daily operations and acts as a lead BA on small and medium programs with support. The BAI will provide supplemental BA support on large programs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Mentor, coach, and delegate work to Support Analysts.
  • Manage and maintain program technology operations procedures and documentation, including but not limited to data imports, payout processing, quality controls and audits, and report generation.
  • Lead execution of program technology operations tasks and quality controls.
  • Monitor allotted monthly operations hours and lead adjustments as needed.
  • Triage and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Provide training on technology capabilities and functionality for internal program support team members.
  • Administer system through configuration of program rules, website user segmentation and data imports and processing.
  • Elicit requirements from program decision makers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts and write user stories for system enhancements.
  • Perform functional and acceptance testing.
  • Manage change requests through identification, research, definition, and confirmation of scope and cost
  • Initiate improvements for operational efficiency (define, measure, and analyze).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related major or two years of equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated basic ability to understand capabilities and functionality of software applications and platforms
  • Intermediate proficiency with data management tools and technologies; MS Excel, MS SQL required.
  • Demonstrated basic ability to understand business context and program domain knowledge.
  • Demonstrated basic ability to effectively discuss ideas and information in ways that are understood and appropriate to target audience.
  • Demonstrated basic ability to effectively document ideas and requirements in ways that are understood and retained.
  • Demonstrated basic ability to present requirements and demonstrate completed functionality to decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated basic ability to communicate cost/benefit analysis and ROI impact.
  • Demonstrated proficient ability to:• identify and define problems

  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
