Project Manager I Hybrid within Chesapeake Utilities Territory

Your role in our success will be:

The incumbent works under close supervision and is expected to progressively develop skills in project delivery, stakeholder management, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and project leadership.

What youʼll be working on:

  • Assist with development and maintenance of project execution plans.
  • Coordinate project activities with engineering, construction, procurement, operations, and other functional teams.
  • Support development and maintenance of project schedules and milestone tracking.
  • Assist with monitoring project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
  • Collect and report project performance information and key performance indicators.
  • Participate in project team meetings and document actions, decisions, and follow-up items.
  • Support project risk identification, tracking, and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, meeting records, and governance requirements.
  • Assist with change management and project reporting processes.
  • Support project closeout activities and lessons learned documentation.
  • Learn and apply company project management standards and governance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting capital projects.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • 0–3 years of project management, engineering, construction, operations, or related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required
