Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst supports monthly financial reporting, delivers accurate management insights, explains performance drivers, and improves reporting processes in partnership with FP&A, Accounting, Business Intelligence, and business unit finance teams.

Reporting to FP&A leadership, the role interacts regularly with senior leaders and cross-functional finance and technology teams.

What will you do?

  • Support monthly financial reporting packages, including MBR and Board materials, KPI dashboards, trend analysis, and management commentary.
  • Analyze results, identify performance drivers, and explain MTD, YTD, year-over-year, budget-to-actual, and forecast-to-actual variances.
  • Partner with business unit finance teams to validate results, assess risks and opportunities, and quantify expected full-year impacts.
  • Govern reporting definitions, mappings, hierarchies, KPI calculations, and controls to ensure accurate, consistent management reporting.
  • Standardize and automate reporting templates, workflows, data validation, dashboard development, and distribution in partnership with Business Intelligence and IT.
  • Support quarterly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis for leadership priorities

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, with five or more years of FP&A, financial reporting, or corporate finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, monthly close, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills for financial modeling, dashboards, analytics, and executive-level reporting; experience with AI-enabled reporting tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve reporting processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and enhance data quality

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $83,000 - $133,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
