Position Summary

The Healthcare Quality Data Analyst (HQDA) is responsible for transforming clinical, operational and population health data into actionable information that drives quality improvement, value-based care performance, utilization reduction and organizational decision making. It is based in High Springs, Florida and is not a remote job.

Description of Primary Responsibilities

Utilize EMR and other data sources to:

  • Develop quality dashboards
  • Develop dashboards to support organization operations
  • Conduct population health analyses
  • Analyze utilization trends
  • Identify high-risk patient populations
  • Monitor quality measure performance

Support, analyze and identify barriers for the following reporting:

  • UDS
  • Payers/value-based contract data
  • Provider performance
  • Organization performance by location

Provide population health support through the following:

  • Manage interfaces with the EMR and data from applications such as ENS/ADT, registries, payer feeds, SFTP feeds and other HIE platforms
  • Validation of population health and clinical measure calculations
  • Analysis of population care gap closure and quality improvement project efforts
  • Analysis of outreach effectiveness

Provide value-based care analytics through:

  • Data extraction support
  • Analysis of risk adjustment opportunities
  • Incentive performance analysis
  • Analysis of hospitalization and ED utilization trends
  • Analysis of return on invest from selected interventions and tools
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Compliance Officer and/or the CEO.

Professional & Technical Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or relevant experience preferred
  • Public Health

  • NextGen experience preferred.
  • Experience with population health programs.
  • Employee will be expected to navigate and operate Microsoft Office suite products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of CQI principles, practices, methods and tools.
  • Ability to analyze QI data and identify trends and corrective actions.

Experience with the following (or equivalent) preferred:

  • Power BI
  • Tableau
  • SQL
  • Snowflake

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current BLS (basic life support) Certification

Communications Skills:

  • Effectively and tactfully communicates complex and/or technical information to co-workers, patients and/or vendors of various educational, socioeconomical and cultural backgrounds.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels, as well as with other agencies and the public.
