Senior Software Engineer - Java

Job Description

​We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our development team and help build, improve, and maintain reliable software solutions. In this role, you will work closely with other engineers, PM, designers, business experts, and stakeholders to develop high-quality features that are scalable, well-performing, and easy to maintain.

You will contribute across the development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring. You enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies, and working in a collaborative team environment where ideas are shared and improved together.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Software Engineer, you drive technical initiatives, lead software development projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead software development initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standards.
• Drive technical initiatives that improve our engineering practices
• Mentor engineering team members, promoting their professional growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights
• Represent the engineering team in cross-area meetings.
• Represent the product team in larger forums, effectively communicating development statuses, challenges, and requirements to a broader audience
• Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable software solutions in collaboration with the team.
• Develop features and services with security, performance, and quality in mind.
• Take ownership of assigned components and contribute to continuous improvement through iteration and learning.
• Work across backend, frontend, and DevOps areas to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Identify and help resolve technical issues, escalating risks and trade-offs when needed.
• Support deployment and release activities to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery.
• Monitor and improve application performance and stability.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Stay up to date with relevant technologies and apply best practices in day-to-day development.

Sales Foundation owns the core selling building blocks such as product catalogue, pricing and promotions, and customer (data, trust and compliance).​Product Experience API team takes care of product enrichment and act as single source of truth for all product information.

WHO YOU ARE​

We are looking for people with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset, who enjoys building scalable, reliable solutions and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

• Overall Experience: 5 –8 years of hands-on experience in developing, designing and testing applications or components.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and tools pertinent to the domain.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• End-to-End Development: Hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of microservices in a cloud environment—from design and development to testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
• Core Technologies: Proficiency in Java 17+ with solid experience in Spring Boot and the Spring Framework
• Architecture & Best Practices: Good understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture, principles, and best practices
• Containerization & Orchestration: Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• CI/CD Automation: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment practices
• Databases: Practical experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB)
• Testing: Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and performance testing

Nice to Have

• Event-Driven Systems: Experience with pub/sub messaging systems such as GCP Pub/Sub or Azure Service Bus
• Analytics & Data Platforms: Exposure to data analytics solutions such as Google BigQuery
