We are now looking for a highly motivated IT QA Manual Tester (Mid Level) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our SAP, MES, and OT (Operational Technology) applications through meticulous manual testing.
The role involves test case development, test execution, defect identification and reporting, as well as close collaboration with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders. The IT QA Manual Tester will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards across our applications and to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.
Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Execute manual test cases for SAP, MES, and OT applications.
- Verify that applications meet specified functional requirements and quality standards.
- Perform thorough testing across features and functionalities.
Test Case Development
- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
- Design test scenarios based on functional specifications and business requirements.
- Ensure adequate test coverage for assigned functionalities.
Defect Identification & Reporting
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies.
- Provide clear and detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce issues.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
Test Planning & Execution
- Participate in test planning, preparation, execution, and reporting activities.
- Support the definition and execution of testing activities throughout the application lifecycle.
- Ensure testing activities are completed thoroughly and according to agreed requirements.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Provide feedback on quality issues and potential risks.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Support the adoption of QA best practices across the team.
- Stay updated with relevant QA trends, tools, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Experience with SAP, MES, and/or OT applications will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) will be considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and principles.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and identify potential issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate testing findings.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of test automation tools and techniques.
