analyze, and troubleshoot customer-reported hardware, firmware, and integration issues in lab environments.
- POCs & Demos: Design, build, and deliver
functional Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) and technical demonstrations using the RAKwireless WisBlock platform and related sensor/communication modules.
- Field Testing & Deployment: Conduct on-site
and field tests to evaluate wireless coverage, range, power consumption, and reliability across various deployment scenarios (e.g., LoRaWAN, BLE, Cellular).
- Documentation & Knowledge Base: Document
engineering results, field test data, and integration steps as technical reference guides, application notes, and case studies.
- SME Offloading: Take ownership of standard
hardware/firmware queries to streamline customer support and significantly reduce routine support burdens on core SMEs.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics
& Telecommunication Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on Hardware Experience: 1) Practical experience
working with modular development kits, LPWAN/IoT platforms preferred. 2) Familiarity with micro-controllers (e.g.,STM32, ESP32,) and sensor integration (I2C, SPI, UART, ADC).
- Wireless Technologies: Good understanding of LPWAN protocols
(LoRa/LoRaWAN), Wi-Fi, BLE, or Cellular IoT.
- Firmware & Software: Proficiency in C / C++ (Arduino
IDE, STM32CubeIDE, PlatformIO) and introductory scripting tools (e.g., Python) for testing and data logging.
- Technical Debugging: Experience with electronic debugging
tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and board-level troubleshooting.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal technical
communication skills to document case studies and interact clearly with both internal teams and external customers.
- Experience with network/protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark)
or LoRaWAN Network Servers (ChirpStack, The Things Network).
