Full description

An empowering career at Singtel begins with a Hello. Our purpose, to Empower Every Generation, connects people to the possibilities they need to excel. Every "hello" at Singtel opens doors to new initiatives, growth, and BIG possibilities that takes your career to new heights. So, when you say hello to us, you are really empowered to say…“Hello BIG Possibilities”.

The AI-for-RAN Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and operationalizing AI-driven automation solutions that improve the performance, efficiency, and autonomy of the Radio Access Network (RAN). The role bridges traditional Ericsson RAN management platforms with Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) to enable intelligent, cloud-native, and standards-based network operations.

The incumbent will develop AI models, automation workflows, and rApps (possible cApps) that support closed-loop optimization, self-configuration, self-healing, and autonomous network operations across multi-vendor RAN environments wherever applicable. Working closely with, RAN Operations, OSS, Cloud, Data & AI, and vendor partners, the engineer will accelerate the organization's transformation towards AI-native and autonomous networks.

Make an impact by:

  • AI & Automation Development

  • Support the development and testing of AI/ML models and automation scripts for RAN use cases such as KPI analysis, anomaly detection, and traffic prediction.
  • Assist in preparing datasets and validating AI model performance.
  • Ericsson RAN & SMO Support

  • Assist in developing and testing automation solutions on Ericsson RAN management platforms (e.g., ENM/EIAP) and SMO.
  • Support configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
  • rApp & Software Development

  • Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining rApps and cloud-native applications.
  • Develop simple APIs, automation scripts, and reusable software components under supervision.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze RAN performance data from PM, FM, and CM systems.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support AI use cases.
  • Learning & Collaboration

  • Participate in technical training, Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities, and innovation projects.
  • Collaborate with RAN, OSS, Cloud, and AI teams while continuously developing technical competencies.

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
