Keysight Device Security (formerly Riscure) provides industry-leading hardware and software platforms used by aerospace and defense customers, semiconductor companies, device manufacturers, and security laboratories to evaluate the resilience of chips and embedded systems against physical attacks. Our solutions enable organizations to build advanced Device Security Labs capable of performing Side-Channel Analysis (SCA) and Fault Injection (FI) testing to identify vulnerabilities in secure chips, microcontrollers, and other devices.
Responsibilities
You will represent Keysight in the technical pre-sales phase, supporting customers in the definition and deployment of Device Security laboratory setups.
Typical customer applications include:
- Semiconductor manufacturers establishing in-house hardware security evaluation and silicon validation capabilities.
- Academic institutions and hardware security research laboratories conducting vulnerability research, physical attack analysis, and embedded security innovation.
- Security certification and compliance organizations, including accredited Security Laboratories, Test Inspection & Certification (TIC) providers, and National Cybersecurity Agencies performing Common Criteria, SESIP, PSA, EUCC, and related evaluations.
- Digital forensics, government and defense laboratories performing secure device analysis, evidence extraction, and hardware security investigations.
- Embedded device and IoT product developers requiring hardware security validation for secure elements, microcontrollers, SoCs, and connected devices.
As a Solution Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Technical ownership of customer opportunities during the pre-sales phase
- Customer face-to-face engagement and technical presentation of Keysight Device Security hardware platforms
- Demonstration of SCA and FI hardware solutions in customer labs and at Keysight facilities
- Support customers in designing and configuring Device Security Lab hardware setups, best fitting with their needs and use-case(s)
- Technical feasibility analysis of customer requirements and test setups
- Support sales teams in defining the hardware solution architecture and configuration
- Preparation of the technical sections of proposals and tenders
- Execution of hardware demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and lab workshops
- Collaboration with product development teams to provide feedback from customer engagements
- Participation in technical workshops, conferences, and industry events as a hardware security expert
- Train and educate customers on the theory and practice of SCA and FI
Travel approximately 30–50% of the time within Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
3–7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electronic test and measurement instrumentation
- Hardware security or chip-level analysis
- Semiconductor validation or lab environments
- Embedded systems and microcontroller architectures
- Hardware security or chip-level analysis
- Lab test setups and measurement systems
Strong understanding of electronics measurement techniques, oscilloscopes, digitizers, signal acquisition, and hardware debugging.
Hands-on experience working in technical lab environments.
Ability to understand customer technical challenges and recommend appropriate hardware solutions
Strong communication and presentation skills with customer-facing experience
Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with international teams including Account Managers, Product Management and Product Marketing teams.
Team player to ensure we provide the best customer experience but also individually able to arrange travel and visit customers
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
