Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Data Engineering & ETL Development

  • Build, develop, improve, and support ETL workflows using Informatica.
  • Build and maintain robust data integration solutions across multiple source and target systems.
  • Develop and optimize batch and scheduled data processing jobs.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Analyze and resolve ETL production issues and performance bottlenecks.

Database & Data Warehousing

  • Build, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Support data warehouse development, improvements, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to ensure data accuracy.
  • Implement guidelines for data modeling and database performance optimization.

Reporting & Analytics Support

  • Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to deliver reliable datasets for business consumption.
  • Support and maintain Power BI and Business Objects reporting environments.
  • Work with business collaborators to understand reporting and data requirements.
  • Enable self-service reporting through curated and trusted data assets.

Operations & Production Support

  • Monitor ETL jobs and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Automate operational processes using Shell Scripting.
  • Perform root cause analysis for data and reporting issues.
  • Support deployment activities and release management processes.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with business analysts, data architects, reporting teams, and application teams.
  • Participate in technical build discussions and code reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering guidelines.
  • Chip in to process improvements, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

Requirements

Required

  • 4-6 years of Data Engineering / ETL experience
  • Strong Informatica PowerCenter/IICS experience
  • Strong SQL and database expertise
  • Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Power BI or Business Objects support experience
  • Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
  • Production support & troubleshooting experience
  • Agile delivery experience

Nice to have:

  • AWS / Snowflake
  • Insurance or Financial Services domain experience
  • Power BI development experience (not just support)
  • Informatica IDQ / MDM experience
  • CI/CD and DevOps exposure
