You will lead a team of engineers responsible for building and improving the pipelines and processes that handle consumer data, ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy, while executing against the roadmap for new features and capabilities that provide useful insights and drive growth for our business.
You will sit in Data Products & Platform within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Experiences. You will work closely with internal segment partners and technical peers from across the company, reporting to a Senior Manager or Director within the org.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into well-scoped engineering work
- Execute against the strategy and roadmap for data products supporting Guest experiences, and contribute ideas that help shape it
- Lead a team of engineers day-to-day, balancing delivery against plans with the growth and development of individual team members
- Reinforce a strong culture of best practices and standards in data and engineering
- Serve as a technical resource on delivery practices, able to speak to capabilities and processes with engineers and partners alike
- Support data collection strategies and onboarding processes that enable improved data capabilities while adhering to data privacy requirements
- Stay current on product direction for applicable technologies to understand how shifts in the consumer privacy landscape may affect the Guest data strategy
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 8+ years related work experience, including 3+ years’ experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Solid working knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, Advanced Analytics, and Data Science implementations
- Experience with Data Warehouse platforms such as Snowflake and BigQuery, with strong working knowledge of the Snowflake Platform
- Familiarity with Data Lakehouse architectures and formats/standards, such as Parquet and Iceberg
- Experience designing or maintaining automated, highly available ETL/ELT big data pipelines at scale
- Experience with data transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt and Airflow
- Familiarity with data quality practices and tooling such as Data Dog and Anomalo
- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A team player with vision, passion, discipline, and integrity
- Demonstrated inclusive and collaborative leadership that embraces diverse thought; experience developing engineers on a team
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization where partnership and influence support success
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $163,400.00 to $219,100.00 per year, in Seattle, WA is $179,700.00 to $241,000.00 per year, and in Glendale and Anaheim, CA is $171,600.00 to $230,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
