Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Overview

To direct end-to-end quality governance, supplier audits, and APQP/PPAP compliance across all accessories, partner assembly lines, and VAP fabricator sites to deliver zero-defect vehicle launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end quality governance: Accountable for total quality performance-owning inbound (IQC), In-process/Mass production (PQC), Field quality (OQC) to ensure zero-defect delivery
  • IQC: Establish and follows incoming inspection standards for finished accessories.
  • PQC: Implement SPC and strict line audit protocols to ensure zero defect during Mass production and fitments.
  • OQC: Manage field issues, warranty claims and customer feedback.
  • APQP and PPAP ownership: lead APQP and PPAP process dossiers to guarantee flawless new accessory launches
  • Fabricator site quality control: Establish and enforce strict quality control gateways at external fabricator facilities to oversee body conversions, structural fabrications, and assembly standards for special purpose vehicles / VAP.
  • Assembly line and modification oversight: Own quality sign-offs for major vehicle modifications conducted on assembly lines-ensuring precise fitment, structural integrity, and function for custom bumpers, grills, body kits.
  • Audit management & compliance: Formulate and execute annual audit (system, process and layered audit) across internal facilities and Tier-1/Tier-2 supplier networks
  • Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA): Accountable for vendor quality performance, risk assessments, and driving capability improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Field failure and warranty management: lead root-cause analysis using 8D, 5-why or Fishbone methodologies to resolve customer/field complaints permanently and reduce warranty costs. Field action resolution for Zero repeat failure for field issue root-cause fixes (CAPA effectiveness)
  • Core quality tool enforcements: Drive cross-functional implementation of quality standards like PFMEA, Control plans, SPC and MSA.
  • Continuous improvement and COPQ reduction: Accountable for minimizing cost of Poor quality by implementing Poka-Yoke controls and lean quality practices.
  • Executive reporting and stakeholder alignment: Present key quality metrics, audit findings and risk mitigation strategies to executive leadership, styling, Engineering, PD and other department heads.
