The Business Analyst is a key individual contributor responsible for transforming enterprise data into actionable insight, enabling effective use of TRC’s ERP and analytics platforms, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role bridges business process understanding with technical execution, supporting ERP data architecture, business intelligence reporting, system enablement, and the incremental deployment of Artificial Intelligence capabilities.

This role operates independently, maintains confidentiality, and exercises sound judgment while partnering closely with business and technical stakeholders in alignment with company policies and governance expectations. General Duties (Common to Business Analyst Roles) Elicit, analyze, and document business needs and translate them into clear system, data, and reporting requirements. Act as a bridge between business teams and technical resources to ensure solutions align with real operational processes. Collect, validate, and interpret data from internal and external sources to support informed decision-making. Develop and maintain clear data models, definitions, and documentation to ensure consistency and clarity. Apply statistical reasoning and data visualization techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Support change management by assisting users in effective system and reporting adoption. Communicate complex analytical and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Key Responsibilities ERP Data Architecture & Data Lake Enablement Design, structure, and maintain datasets within TRC’s ERP data lake, including ERP-generated and third-party data sources. Ensure data models are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business reporting and analytics needs.
Business Intelligence & Reporting (Birst)
Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards using the Birst business intelligence platform. Apply appropriate statistical techniques and visualizations to deliver actionable insight. Partner with business users to refine reporting needs and ensure outputs support decision-making Maintain Tableau reporting environment until Birst implementation can sufficiently replace this (current) solution.
ERP Enablement & Support Assist functional teams in the proper use of ERP systems in alignment with established business processes. Provide hands-on support for ERP and reporting break/fix issues, including root cause analysis and resolution coordination. Identify recurring issues and recommend system or process improvements.
Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics Enablement Support incremental deployment of AI-enabled analytics, automation, and agentic AI use cases. Partner with business leaders to identify appropriate AI opportunities and define success metrics. Assist in designing AI workflows that align with existing systems and business processes.
Business Process & Domain Expertise Maintain a deep understanding of TRC business processes across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions. Ensure analytics and reporting accurately reflect how the business operates in practice. Additional Responsibilities Champion TRC’s H.I.L.T.I. values across all initiatives and interactions. Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, logic, and assumptions. Support continuous improvement, data governance, and analytics maturity efforts. Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and intent of the role.
Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, or Business Intelligence Analyst. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; Infor LN experience strongly preferred. Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms (Birst preferred). Tableau reporting software environment management and report building preferred. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization techniques. Exposure to or strong interest in AI-enabled analytics, automation, or agent-based systems. Communicative, accurate, quick-witted, and hands-on with a strong sense of ownership
