Full description

This role will lead strategic communications for IHG’s global Product & Technology function, translating complex business and technology priorities into clear, compelling narratives for colleagues, hotels and owners. Serves as a trusted communications adviser to senior leaders and drives integrated communications that build understanding, alignment, engagement and adoption.

Your day to day

  • Lead integrated communications across Product & Technology, partnering with global, regional and cross-functional teams to ensure messages are aligned, coordinated and relevant to shared audiences.
  • Set and deliver the communications strategy for Product & Technology, ensuring it aligns with enterprise priorities and the broader corporate affairs narrative.
  • Serve as a trusted communications adviser to P&T senior leaders, providing counsel on messaging, audience strategy, sequencing, channels, risks and stakeholder engagement.
  • Translate complex product, technology and AI topics into clear, accessible and compelling narratives for colleague, hotel and owner audiences.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder communications programs from strategy through execution, including change communications, leadership communications, major technology rollouts and colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Develop executive messaging, organizational announcements, presentations, talking points, Town Hall content and other high-profile communications.
  • Partner across P&T, Global Corporate Affairs and relevant business functions to align communications, anticipate dependencies and ensure a coordinated audience experience.
  • Make independent communications decisions within agreed strategies, escalating material reputational, stakeholder or delivery risks when appropriate.
  • Establish communications plans, editorial rhythms and measurement approaches that improve awareness, understanding, engagement and adoption.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to communications team members, supporting quality, consistency and capability development.
  • Apply emerging tools, including AI, to improve communications insight, development and effectiveness while following applicable company standards.

What we need from you

  • 8+ years’ experience developing and leading internal, change, executive and issues communications in a complex, global organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders, influence stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and deliver compelling messages for varied audiences
  • Proven ability to lead high-profile, multi-audience communications programs from strategy through execution.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and sensitive business issues with limited oversight.
  • Experience translating complex product, technology, data or AI topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing communications professionals.
  • Strong understanding of communications measurement and the ability to apply insight to improve outcomes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, channel management, project management, stakeholder management, and communications measurement skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Experience using and integrating AI into work processes.

Travel - minimum required

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
