Summary
The HIT Clinical Data Analyst supports the organization's operational, clinical, financial, and strategic initiatives by transforming data into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making. Reporting to the Director of Health Information Technology (HIT), this position develops and maintains dashboards, analyzes trends, validates data integrity, and provides reporting that supports executive leadership and departments across the organization.
The HIT Clinical Data Analyst partners with Executive Leadership and department leaders to identify reporting needs, automate manual processes, and deliver actionable analytics that improve workflows, enhance the patient and provider experience, and support organizational goals. This role collaborates across Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, and Health Information Technology to ensure data from multiple systems is accurately integrated, validated, and presented in a meaningful and accessible format.

MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Professional certification in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or a related discipline required.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, health information technology, revenue cycle, or a related analytical role.
- Experience with Corepoint Integration Engine or a similar healthcare integration platform preferred.
- Familiarity with HL7 messaging, interface monitoring, troubleshooting, and data flow between healthcare systems preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar business intelligence software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting automation.
- Experience analyzing, reconciling, and validating data from multiple clinical, operational, and financial systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems, electronic medical records, radiology information systems, and clinical workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, clinical operations, financial reporting, and key performance indicators preferred.
- Experience with SQL, database queries, data extraction, or other reporting tools preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare system integrations, interfaces, data mapping, and interoperability concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis, reporting, and system integration.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of management.
- Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, collaboration, and professional development.
- Must possess a valid Nevada driver’s license, maintain current vehicle registration and automobile insurance, and be able to travel between SDMI locations as needed.
- Responds positively to changes in assignments and priorities.
