Full description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engineering Manager, Rep Experience based in United States.
This is a high-impact engineering leadership role overseeing one of the largest and most visible teams supporting the sales execution experience. You’ll lead the systems that sales teams rely on for prospecting, account and contact management, task execution, dashboards, and revenue workflows. The team is evolving these experiences into an intelligent system that helps determine what representatives should do next through prioritization, orchestration, and AI-driven recommendations. You’ll shape the technical direction while hiring, mentoring, and developing senior engineers and managers. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement and close partnership with Product, Design, GTM, and engineering leadership. As part of a remote-first, AI-native environment, strong documentation, thoughtful processes, and continuous improvement are central to how the team operates.
\n
Accountabilities:
- Define team goals, expectations, and operating practices while fostering a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization, including sourcing and hiring senior and staff-level engineers and supporting their long-term growth.
- Partner closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, and GTM stakeholders to deliver high-quality software rapidly while maintaining reliable experiences for enterprise customers.
- Serve as a technical counterpart to Product leadership, contributing to product direction, technical strategy, prioritization, sizing, estimation, and engineering trade-offs.
- Participate in key technical decisions across sprint planning, software architecture and design, technical direction, and occasional code reviews.
- Remain technically engaged through hands-on coding when needed, mentoring engineers and helping the team navigate complex technical challenges.
- Own and improve development and management processes, using clear documentation and well-defined workflows to support effective execution in a remote-first environment.
- Help the team maintain a sustainable on-call model that protects reliability without unnecessarily reducing roadmap capacity.
- Engage directly with customers and GTM teams when appropriate, bringing technical expertise to customer conversations and ensuring a deep understanding of the products and workflows owned by the team.
- Contribute to broader engineering decision-making and help continuously improve the organization’s technical and operational practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong technical depth and the ability to lead multiple senior and staff-level engineers.
- 3–5 years of people management experience, preferably including leadership of senior engineers and engineering managers.
- Proven technical leadership experience, including software architecture at scale, effective engineering processes, and cross-functional or cross-team collaboration.
- Strong understanding of engineering systems, particularly data-intensive systems and the technical considerations involved in building scalable products.
- Professional experience with Ruby and Python.
- Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals.
- Strong product thinking and the ability to understand user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints when making engineering decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong preference for documentation and structured processes in a distributed environment.
- Compassionate and thoughtful leadership style, with the ability to mentor others, give and receive constructive feedback, and build trust across teams.
- Strategic mindset combined with a willingness to get hands-on and engage deeply with technical details when necessary.
- Strong ownership, integrity, curiosity, excellence, teamwork, and a collaborative approach to leadership.
- Familiarity with React, MongoDB, SQL, and Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or Looker is desirable.
- Experience working in sales technology or related SaaS environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with technologies such as React, Redux, Next.js, Ruby, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform is beneficial.

- Tier 2 annual total cash compensation of $225,400–$281,000 USD for candidates in other U.S. locations.
- Compensation ranges include annual base salary and applicable annual bonus and may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, location, and career level.
- Equity opportunities and company bonus programs may be available.
- 401(k) plan.
- At least 10 paid holidays per year, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
- Employee assistance and wellbeing programs.
- Global travel coverage.
- Life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
- FSA/HSA and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Remote-first working environment with an emphasis on autonomy, documentation, and flexible collaboration.
- Opportunities to work with AI-driven products, automation, modern engineering practices, and large-scale data systems.
