Position Summary:

The Business Development and Compliance Analyst will provide analytical and compliance support across the company’s business operations. Activities will include data analysis, quality assurance support to include the research and implementation of applicable state and federal regulatory and compliance standards, and commercial support as needed.

As business priorities evolve, the specific focus and responsibilities of this role are expected to shift accordingly, and the incumbent should be comfortable adapting to changing needs across the organization. This role is intended for a self-starter with a process improvement background. This employee will report through the Business Development function, the role is intended and positioned to build into a future commercial or revenue generating role

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support for special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned by leadership, with the scope and focus of responsibilities evolving to align with shifting business needs and priorities.
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting of the company’s gas production data. Determine and document deficiencies and track issues through resolution while also proposing and implementing process improvement for the current process.
  • Improve the current analysis, tracking, and resolution process for state and federal renewable natural gas compliance tasks. Perform record reviews to determine compliance with applicable codes and standards. Develop strategies for improving quality of records.
  • Serve as liaison between UGI and external consultants, auditors, regulators, and industry peers.
  • Assist the Business Development, FP&A, and Government Affairs teams with commercial initiatives on an ad-hoc basis, to include the development and evaluation of new renewable natural gas markets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Finance or Business-related field, Engineering
  • Length of Experience: 3+ years
