The Lead Business Data Analyst role has a national salary range of $85,000- $150,000.

Job Description

Improve the quality and value of the analytics department. Responsible for recruiting, training, and development of analysts under the program hierarchy. Coordination of analytics community across sector and site resources to encourage sharing of best practices to further the development and growth of the business.

Standardization

  • Ensure that the best analytical process and procedures are adhered to across the team
  • Supports account start-up analysis and/or report implementation as needed
  • Designs, develops, and implements data gathering and reporting methods and procedures for Operations
  • Ongoing control and monitor of existing tools to ensure actionable insight is being driven from their use

Optimization:

  • Works with Business Analysts and Sr Business Analysts to implement the most effective models, databases, and relevant software access
  • Coordinates with Operations Systems group to ensure technical issues and problems are being identified, addressed, and resolved in a timely manner
  • May investigate and recommend new technologies and information systems
  • Follows continuous improvement principles to optimize the effectiveness and value of analytics used across team

Development

  • Responsible for recruiting, selection and training of Business Data Analyst and Sr. Business Data analyst
  • Performs mid-year and end of year performance reviews for all direct reports
  • Supports quarterly succession planning with focus on current performance, potential, and building road map to future roles with Business Analytics Manager and Business Data Analytics Program Manager

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Applies hindsight, insight, and foresight techniques to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others to take action
  • May coordinate with ILD group on issues related to modeling customer solutions, including providing data and relevant insight for customer pursuits
  • Uses knowledge of business and data structure to discover and/or anticipate problems where data can be used to solve the problem
  • Develops predictive models to help drive decision making

Required Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, mathematics, statistics, related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • 3+ years of analytics experience, required
  • Excellent database management and data-mining skills, including understanding of SQL, required
  • Experience with programming or coding (Python, Java, VB, etc.), required
